TLDR: Run the install_all.bat from the C: >programs x86> asus> smart gesture folder ( May need to attempt to install the latest driver from the website first.) There is something called ' Windows Driver Package - ASUS (ATP) Mouse ( 6.0.0.35) I cant find Asus smart gesture there at all. I go into control panel and find asus smart gesture but there is no icon and clicking on it says: Application not found. I've looked around and it says to reinstall asus smart gesture but when i downlaod the driver it says it cant install it since there is an existing version so I need to uninstall that first. I hope this saves someone from going on the same Odyssey as me, because I am fairly certain that windows removed the option to disable three finger gestures because some $!%?§ really wants you to use Cortana.I got a new asus x55la and the two finger scrolling does not work anymore.

I had to do this because three finger gestures repeatedly minimized all my shit when i was just scrolling through text. Double-click on the icon, and you will have a menu where you can disable three finger gestures instead of choosing between windows and asus three finger gestures as you had to previously. Now you should be able to see asus smartgesture in the taskbar, or a submenu in the task bar. Install the version of smartgesture you downloaded in step 1

Uninstall Asus Smart Gesture using windows uninstall. Also, scrolling feels a little fucky but I prefer this to accidentally minimizing stuff. Supposedly, it's for windows 8 but it's working fine for my win 10 laptop, though it was originally win 8 so proceed with some caution. I don't have access to that version of the driver anymore, but I found an older version on the internet after some digging. Here's the gist: There briefly was a period when Asus Smart Gesture let you disable three finger gestures. So it seems like I'm updating this post again! Well.
